Configuration Difference Between IPv6 and IPv4 on Huawei ONT

For the bridging ONT, configurations for IPv6 and IPv4 are the same. For the gateway ONT, the HSI service configurations for IPv6 and IPv4 are different.

Configuring the IPv6 WAN Port on the Gateway ONT

For IPv6 IPTV multicast service, no extra configuration is required. For the IPv6 HSI service, the Internet WAN port on Huawei gateway ONT must be configured (only Internet WAN port supports IPv6). If the gateway ONT uses the IPv6/IPv4 DS scheme, select IPv4/IPv6 for Protocol Type. If the gateway ONT uses the DS-Lite scheme, select IPv6 for Protocol Type. For details, see Figure 1.

Configuring the IPv6 Address of the LAN Side on the Gateway ONT

The gateway ONT like HG8245H can be configured to allocate IPv6 addresses to the terminals after IPv6 is introduced. For details, see Figure 2.

Configuring the Static IPv6 Route on the Gateway ONT

The gateway ONT can be configured with the static IPv6 route after IPv6 is introduced. For details, see Figure 3.

What's the difference between Huawei MA5800 control board H901MPLA and H902MPLB?

Huawei released H902MPLA in Huawei MA5800 R18  Hedex, so many customers think the two version has function difference.


Actually no function difference, only appearance, H902 is higher than H901. Huawei made some optimization.

H902MPLA and H901MPLA price is the same. Some customer prefers to new version H902MPLA, and some think it does not matter.

What's the difference between Huawei S6720S-26Q-LI-24S-AC and S6720S-26Q-SI-24S-AC?

Specification of S6720S-26Q-LI-24S-AC and S6720S-26Q-SI-24S-AC are same, both are Huawei 2x40GE QSFP+ switch.and 24x10GE SFP+ switch.

Difference:

1,  version is not same, LI and SI.

2, Switching capacity
S6720S-26Q-SI-24S-AC:  2.56Tbps/23.04Tbps

How to configuration HG8010H MAC Filter?

1, In the navigation tree on the left, choose Security > MAC Filter Configuration. In the pane on the right, after enabling MAC filter and selecting the filter mode, click New. On the dialog box that is displayed, configure the MAC filter rule for the PC to access the Internet, as shown in Figure 1.

2, Click Apply
The MAC address lists of PCs in the network are saved on the GPON ONT HG8010H. Configuring MAC filter rules enables the PCs that conform to the rules to access the Internet service or disables the PCs that do not conform to the rules to access the Internet service. A PC may have more than one IP addresses but a unique MAC address. Therefore, configuring MAC filter rules effectively controls the Internet service access rights of PCs in a LAN.

Q: I buy a Huawei OSN1500B equipped with Q2CXL1, but there will be 622M service, can I change STM-1 module of Q2CXL1 to STM-4 directly?

A: No, you cannot. Q2CXL1 only supports STM-1 eSFP, cannot support STM-4 eSFP.

Q: Then only I can do is buy a Q2CXL4?
A: Yes, you have to change the board.But I suggest you buy Q5CXLLN, it supports STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16 module.

Q: Huawei OSN 1500B Q5CXLLN is perfect, but is there any price difference?
A: Of course, Q5CXLLN is much more expensive than Q2CXLN,not only because Q5 version is universal for STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16 module, but also Q5 version has higher cross-connect capacity than Q2.

Q: Can you tell me their cross-connect capacity difference, that I can have a better evaluation.
A: Higher order cross-connect capacity of Q2CXLN is 20Gbit/s, Q5CXLLN is 60Gbit/s, threes times than Q2CXLN.

What boards on Huawei DSLAM device can support vectoring function?

H83BVCLE (32-channel VDSL2 over POTS), H83BVCLF (32-channel VDSL2), H83BVCMM and  H83DVCMM(48-channel VDSL2) on Huawei MA5616 & MA5600 can support.

Huawei 32-channel VDSL2 over POTS board VDLE does not support.

Remarks:
These vectoring service boards need work with enhanced subrack MABB, main control board CCUE and power board PDVAA, then can realized vectoring.

A: From your sreenshot,it is a "capability.XML" file, which is contained in the U2000 version file,your R9 U2000 have Huawei ONT R12, R13 capability.XML, but have no R16 or later capability.XML., so you need a new version U2000 with ONT R16 or later capability.XML.included.

Q: In our network, we only have R9 U2000 to manage Huawei OLT ONT, do you have one with newer version?
A: We have R14 U2000 at hand, but it hasn't been installed yet, because we have a Huawei OSN 6800 project which needs R9 U2000.
